Quote of the Week

I've neglected this for a while, but I'm bringing it back. This one made me smile in light of recent events:

"I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!"

- Jerry Falwell, 1979.

Hmm...I guess not.

That one's a classic. He'll also never see the day Roe v. Wade, Lawrence v. Texas, Abington School District v. Schempp, Doe v. Bolton, Griswold v. Connecticut, Kitzmiller v. Dover and others are overturned. Not that any of them will be, but they could be. He'll never see the Federal Marriage Amendment ratified into the Constitution.
